Lovely Things March 2019

Welcome to March’s Lovely Things. Lovely Things is a regular feature I used to run on my blog that I decided to bring back for 2019. It’s a bit of a memory journal of all of the things that make me happy each month and a nice way to focus on gratitude too.

March, the arrival of spring and the clocks going forwards, it also saw Mother’s Day and the unexpected purchase of a new car for me. Bodhi hit 9 months which meant he had officially been out of my tummy as long as he had been in there. With some sunny days, I am starting to look forward to warmer and longer says and very much looking forward to flip flop weather!

Here are all of my lovely things from March:

• • Visiting Westminster and being post of a stakeholder committee on gender equality
  • Getting a new car – a Black 5 door Mini Cooper. This was a bit of an unexpected purchase after us getting an DPF error on our diesel run around car, we decided it was time to replace it and I have always wanted a Mini

• • • • • Watching Logan finally achieve giving up sucking his thumb, which he worked so hard to achieve
        • Going to a stay and play for Aria’s class and hearing how well she is doing at school. Now on yellow books and a year ahead at maths – amazing
        • All the beautiful blossom on the trees everywhere, it’s just so pretty

  • A Sunday at home with my children watching them play in the garden and baking together in the afternoon
  • A weekend visit from my in-laws and Ben and his Dad getting some jobs finished in Bodhi’s room
  • A lovely day and visit from my Mum
  • Attending an event with Happy Dental in London with Honest Mum. It’s the first time I have taken all 3 children into London on my own which I think is an achievement in itself, but they all had a fab day too
  • Mother’s Day. I got some beautiful things from my children – a lovely print from my husband with mine and the children’s names on. Some wonderful homemade things from my children, including a poem Logan wrote for me and my husband went to so much trouble with some lovely food on the day too
