About Me

About Laura’s Lovely Blog

Welcome to Laura’s Lovely Blog. Laura’s Lovely Blog is a UK award-nominated parenting, lifestyle and book blog that writes about family life, positivity and lovely things.

I’m a wife and mother of three – of Logan (October 2011) and Aria (May 2014) and Bodhi (June 2018), as well as a freelance writer and blogger. We live in Bracknell, Berkshire with our cheeky cat and crazy (45kg) Rhodesian Ridgeback Florence.

You can also read about my fitness and food obsessed husband each with week in his weekly column which features recipes, training tips and his views on fatherhood.

Laura’s Lovely Blog has been classed in the Tots 100 of top parenting blogs (out of 10,000) for the past 4 years. In 2018 I was a finalist in the Working Parent Blogger of the Year in the Mum and Working Awards in association with Natwest. In 2019 I was a Finalist in the Inspire Category for the BritMums Brilliance in Blogging Awards and in 2020 I was nominated in the MADS awards.

I have appeared in The Daily Mail, Berkshire Life Magazine and Bracknell News as well as been a guest on BBC Berkshire Radio.

In 2019 I participated in the government’s Roadmap on Equality for women and I am passionate about equal rights for women and working parents.

This blog is an expression of things I love and my life. Being a mother, the journey of which has changed me forever. I have a very big weakness for handbags, floral dresses and fun jewellery. The bigger the earrings, the better! I am also plus size and believe in health and beauty at all sizes.

In 2021, I started working with a coach and I am now pursuing my lifelong ambition of writing my first fiction novel.

Laura’s Library

I am a huge bookworm, and was an Editor and reviewer for Book Chick City (Top 10 UK book blog) for 7 years before it closed down. My bookish love has continued as I am now Books Round-up Editor for BritMums. I also run a monthly linky all about encouraging children to read. I regularly review children’s books on my blog and you can read more on my Laura’s Library page.

If you would love to work with me, please visit my work with me page for more details, I’d love to hear from you.
