Have you heard the news on the block? A big change Have you heard the news on the block? A big change came to Instagram yesterday and it’s rather exciting. Instagram content is now going to show up in Google search results. Which gives people a great new way to find you.

I go into this in more detail in my newsletter going out next week, so do sign up if you haven’t already.

And in the content you create think about how you can optimise it so people can find you.

@emmacossey and I couldn’t resist jumping on thi @emmacossey and I couldn’t resist jumping on this trend when we met for her content shoot last week. Always here for the fun 🤣

But actually I want to give a bit of a shout out to Emma. She is a client, but she also has become a lovely friend too - so much so she’s now a member of our monthly board game club 🎲

But more than that she has also been a coach to me. My business has transformed in the last year and Emma is one of the people who helped me achieve this. I also absolutely love her membership, I have made some wonderful friends and have a group who listen and also gives me feedback on my business in a constructive and supportive way.

So sit back and enjoy Emma’s Lego and if you don’t already, go and give her a follow.

True story 🤣 It’s not easy, juggling 3 childr True story 🤣
It’s not easy, juggling 3 children all of which are ND. My own business which I am very excited to see growing. But I honestly wouldn’t want it any other way. It’s a joy to watch my business grow, to watch my children grow, to have this life.

I mean I could have done without last week which was kind of crazy. With me having an allergic reaction to antibiotics and Logan having a nasty accident on his mountain bike and ending up in A&E. Thankfully he is ok and has been stitched up and mended and I have recovered thanks to some rather strong antihistamines. Always wear a helmet folks… (they’re worth every penny)

And I did need a massive nap on Sunday afternoon to recover 🤣

How about you? How do you manage it all?

Today I went networking with @fearless_networking Today I went networking with @fearless_networking with guest speaker was the very inspiring, Sunday Times bestselling author and nutritionist @jennytschiesche who shared some amazing insights for her career journey.

I will always say if you want to grow your business, go networking. I have made friends, created great collaborations and found new clients through the power of networking.

And that business that might do the same thing as you? Don’t be put off, go and chat. Collaboration over competition wins every day.

When was the last time you went networking?

What do you do on one of the hottest days of the y What do you do on one of the hottest days of the year? Why take your next marital arts grading!

I know a lot of you have been following my fitness and martial arts journey. At my last grading I set myself a goal of a 90% pass rate, and I didn’t quite make it and achieved 88% (which I was still really pleased with).

Today was hard work, I’m not great in the heat and I was glad I took two water bottles with me. My husband was a great wingman having the lid off and water waiting for me between sections.

BUT…. I passed with 91% and beat the goal I set myself. I am so pleased. 🙌

Also flick through for some pics of Bo who also did so well today and also achieved his gold belt. He did an absolute killer escape from kidnapping drill. The whole room clapped.

Can’t thank @berkshire_martial_arts enough and especially @simonobrien2020 who has been working with me one on one personal training to build my strength and flexibility.

I once thought getting a black belt was a pipe dream for a woman in her mid 40s. I said to a friend if I ever do it I will do it in red lipstick (the colour of the suffragettes), but maybe, just maybe I will get to do it after all.

I haven’t managed to fit as much networking in a I haven’t managed to fit as much networking in as I usually do and of course the lovely Robyn has taken a (mini break) to have her gorgeous little boy. So it was so nice to be out and chatting to everyone today.

Richard Hollings was a great speaker with lots of wisdom about running a small business. He spoke about grant opportunities to look out for and mentoring available for women in business.

But the thing that stuck out for me was how when you watch the pennies you think you are saving money but sometimes in the long term you are not. And sometimes you need to spend some to make more. To experiment, watch and know your numbers and learn what works and what doesn’t. It was really interesting, I made loads of notes and have come away with some worthwhile actions.

It was also worth it to have cuddles with @theadminden and Robyn’s gorgeous little ones.
