Wow, what an absolutely incredible day. A massive Wow, what an absolutely incredible day. A massive thanks to @thebusinessnest for organising this moving day of celebration for International Women’s Day.

Where we talked rawly and openly about being a woman in 2026. The ups and downs, the highs and lows. We heard of incredible achievements and challenges.

The room was full of amazing energy and joy of women lifting each other up. And some truly incredible speakers.

I could happily do it all again next week.

Happy International Women’s Day (the day is officially on Sunday, but today we celebrated)

A few of my highlights from February. A month of j A few of my highlights from February. A month of juggling, but some lovely moments.

My video shoots are definitely growing in popularity and I love working with small business owners and getting them in front on the camera. Looking forward to getting some video content for IWD on Friday for @thebusinessnest too

I am also excited to have welcomed 3 new retainer clients. And proud to have watched my oldest play his guitar and get to record in a recording studio.

What are your February highlights?

For a long time exercise with something that was f For a long time exercise with something that was frightened of and I felt shameful about. PE was torture at school, absolute mean girl torture. I hated my body because it was different to others.

I had my teens in the 90s when the obsession with skinny was riding high. And my body has always been rounded. I never understood until the last few months, that while my body was rounded it was also muscular. That discovery blew my mind.

In June it will be 4 years since my spinal surgery, and the time leading up to that was some of the hardest in my life. I felt like I was existing and not living. And all anyone seemed to want to hear free me was stronger painkillers. I will never not be grateful for the surgery that changed my life.

But it was an injury that changed me. Added to the body shame came a fear of hurting myself like that again. And it was terrifying.

My journey to fitness has been a long one and I’m not even half way through it. I understand pain, and fear. Because I have lived it. But I also understand resilience, because I have lived it too.

Why am I sharing this? Because I think all of these are relatable to small business owners too. We get hurt and frightened when we make mistakes. We fall down the trap of comparing ourselves to others, and finding ourselves short. But when we can find the path of resilience, bravery and joy…. That’s where it all comes together.

What is the fear you have had to overcome?

Also my lovely friend @rebeccahogan_ tells me that Spring is in fact the best time to go forward with goals and intentions, so it felt like a good time to manifest things that I want in my life this year.

Last year was a year of real transformation for me and 2026 seems to have started with a bang. I am completely longing for spring, so let’s see what it brings with it, as well as hopefully some sunshine.
