My Favourite Five Books

Today I would like to welcome to the blog Chloe from Life Unexpected. Who is guesting  in my new series where different people share their five favourite books in a chosen genre. Chloe has chosen her favourite five books for bloggers. I’ve not read any books for bloggers before, as I’m not ususally a non fiction fan. But Chloe has chosen some fantastic ones here and I think I may have to buy two or even three!

1. How To Blog For Profit Without Selling Your Soul – Ruth Soukup

If you are serious about making money from your blog, this book is the best of the best! Blogger Ruth Soukup turned her blog into a thriving business and teaches you step-by-step how you to, can blog for profit. This book is timeless and even though it was written a few years ago, all of the points are still relevant now. It’s perfect for bloggers of all levels and has an amazing chapter on cracking Pinterest.

2. How I Made $40k My First Year Blogging – Chelsea Lords

Although written by a food blogger, you can easily use the points in this book and modify it for your own niche. The book is laid out in an easy to read format and shows you how much this blogger made every single month. The book goes into detail about the traffic that came to her blog, what she implemented to grow her audience and how she increased her monthly income from $43 dollars in her first month to $7500 in her last.

3. Blog Inc – Joy Cho

This book is perfect for new bloggers. It teaches you everything from what platform to blog on, to finding your niche to navigating and becoming a part of the blogging community. It’s a great starter book for growing your online presence and understanding blogging.

4. The Busy Girls Guide To Digital Photography – Lorna Yabsley

Although not specifically about blogging, visuals are so important on blogs. I’ve only just got this book but so far it’s been wonderful. I love photography, but I don’t have time to sign up to any courses to understand my camera better.

I’ve been applying some of the tricks used for the photos in this book to my blog pictures and have noticed a huge change! Pictures are worth a thousand words and it’s so important to get these right for your blog.

5. Go From Blog To Brand In 30 Days – Cailin Koy

I’ve been recommended this book by quite a few people. It’s new to my shelf and I’m only part way through, but it is amazing!

The book focuses on how to turn your online presence into your own personal brand, which is perfect for bloggers. It’s entertaining, easy to read and so far every thing I have put into practice from this book has made a huge difference to my personal brand.
