REVIEW: Hello Party Personalised Party Decorations & Giveaway

Hello Party Personalised Party Decorations Review and Giveaway

It was my son’s 4th birthday this week, and Hello Party kindly offered me some lovely personalised decorations to help us celebrate.

I had never heard of Hello Party before but thoroughly enjoyed looking through their lovely website. You can choose from different occasions from birthdays, christenings and weddings to baby showers. They also offer a bespoke service.

My son is crazy about dinosaurs, so it was inevitable I would choose their Roaring Dinosaurs birthday package. I was able to design a banner, bunting, A2 and A3 posters for review purposes but they also offer posters in bigger and smaller sizes. For the designs I was able to personalise with names, ages, colours, fonts and you can also upload photos, as well as a choice of finishes. There is a video on their website too to talk you through the steps of how to do it.

The items arrived quickly in lovely packaging and is most definitely of beautiful quality. I was very impressed and they look great decorated around the house. In fact as I write this, it was my son’s birthday yesterday and I still haven’t taken them down as they look great and it seems such a waste to have them up for just one day.

As we had a party for my son I would have liked to have the option to purchase matching items to go with the banners and posters. For example paper plates, cups, napkins, a table cloth and balloons. Instead I ended up buying these from somewhere else, which was a shame. Perhaps it is something Hello Party may consider in the future.

My other thoughts on the items is that they are very lovely quality and for that reason would be perfect for a bigger event, for example a wedding, christening or perhaps a larger birthday celebration such as a big birthday – 18, 21, 40 etc. But, they are not that cheap. The package I was sent to review of 5 items would cost £77.96 or with the current discount running on Hello Party’s website (20% off when you purchase 5 items) £62.37. For me, for a child’s party this is a lot of money and I would normally purchase something a lot cheaper than this. Or alternatively the option not to add my child’s age, so they could be reused for another year and have greater longevity. That being said, I really enjoyed adding photos and personalising them though, and it made them feel so much more meaningful on the day and my son loved them too.

I think it depends on what you are looking for in your party decorations. If you are looking for beautiful and personalised then you should definitely head over to Hello Party. If you are organising a small children’s party on a budget they are probably not for you. This is not a criticism more a comment on the type of party organiser this service will probably appeal too. But they are really lovely quality and add a fab finishing touch to your party decor.

  1. I was loving the products til I saw the price EEEKK!! I must admit they look absolutely amazing and the bunting is fab but I wouldn’t ever spend that much. Like you say, it is only up for day and is such a waste! Although, it is something that you will be able to keep (the bunting) to reuse each year 🙂

    • I am actually debating finding a way to cover the 4 and reusing them next year as they are so lovely. I think they are ideal for bigger parties or events.

  2. They look lovely! The banner looks great!! The whole package is very cute although as you said it is very expensive!! But I guess there must be people who would like to celebrate big occasions like wedding anniversaries where you can share the cots with others for example! Other than that it looks pretty good. I normally buy all my birthday kits from Party Pieces. They have a lot of lovely things too and less expensive! Great giveaway though! 🙂 xxx

  3. These are super cute but I agree a little bit on the expensive side. I would like it if you could do them without the age on to refuse them or maybe modify to change the age for another birthday (but then I am quite budget conscious!)

  4. It’s my partners 50th birthday, my sons 18th birthday, and our wedding all on the same day so would use it for one of those things, but probably for my son’s 18th.
