Weigh, Lose or Stay #11

Weigh, Lose or Stay

Weigh, lose or stay full size

Week Ten

My first week back on the diet after my holidays. I wanted to get straight back on it straight away, to lose the weight that I had gained, but also so that I didn’t loose momentum on my diet too. I haven’t lost my full holiday gain this week, but I have lost a good two thirds of it. I am hoping by next week it will have gone. Two weeks on, two weeks off… hopefully.

Oddly, despite a good loss, I am disappointed that my waist measurement has stayed the same. I’ve lost a massive 2.5cm off my legs, but absolutely nothing on my waist. I’m a real apple shape, so I dislike my tummy. Hopefully I will see a nice loss from there next week instead.

Dieting is such a roller-coaster of emotions and some days the small things do tend to get to you. But I will get there. I have also been looking into fitness options which I will update you on next week, as I now it is time now to add in exercise to my dieting regime. I am looking at classes and running at the moment, so I shall let you know.

Goals

My goals are:

  1. Lose the weight I have gained on holiday – I have 3.25lbs to go, so it would be great if I could do this by next week.
  2. My next big goal after this then is to lose two stone. I have promised myself a fab pair of hoop earrings I have seen on Stella and Dot when I do.
  3. Third goal – to get my wedding rings to fit on the correct finger – I really miss them being there, so hopefully this will be quite soon.

Linky Rules

I must stress this is open to anyone, you do not have to join in the Linky if you just want to share your weight loss or maintenance stats in the comments, this is totally fine. But if you want to link up that is also fab.

This is a feature that everyone can join in with (including my own clients!). Not every body is on a diet, but they do like to keep an eye on their weight for maintenance purposes. So this is a weekly weigh-in whether you want to lose weight or stay the same.

The more the merrier please join in. It doesn’t matter what diet you are following, dieting is hard whatever route you take this is just about supporting one another.

  1. I hate the after holiday weigh in! No matter how good I try to be I always put weight on. I’m about to start another fitness and weight loss journey so will be following you & linking up with you to share the pain!

  2. I definitely feel your frustration with stubborn waist fat! The annoying thing is you can’t pick and choose where you want to lose fat. It sounds like you’re doing a great job btw. Before you know it, you’ll be at your goals and have to make new ones ☺️.

  3. I feel a bit of a fraud if I link up my initial ‘trying to lose weight’ post so instead I’ll link up when I have some weight updates 🙂 x

  4. I do understand your frustration about your waist, but 7.25lbs is a terrific loss, and you have lost quite a few cms off your waist already, so it is only this week that it has not moved from there. Next week I am sure it will start going down again.
I lost one pound this week, so was quite pleased with that. I think your decision to try a find time for extra exercise is a good one, I am sure that doing the extra running ready for my race on Sunday has helped. I just have to make myself keep doing it after the race!

    • Good luck for the race! I’m sure you’ll do really well and fab loss this week too 🙂 Yes it will come off eventually but when you have a bit to lose it’s about patience sometimes I think.

  5. Hi Laura
I love your posts! I find your journey on CWP so inspiring, reading your posts has helped to keep me going in my first week! I have linked my blog up even though I haven’t had my first weigh in yet (it’s on Monday!), as I thought doing so would help me to keep up my motivation so far! I am blogging daily so I stay on track and have a nice little reminder of my time on CWP to look back on once I have reached my goal weight! Hoping for a loss of 5lb come Monday as it is my first week! I hope your weight loss is as pleasing next week as it was this week.
