About Laura’s Lovely Blog
I started this blog as a personal blog in January 2010 and after about a year life seemed to get in the way and I stopped writing for it. A lot has happened in these years, the biggest being I’ve had 2 children. I decided to re-launch in January 2015 and I have loved getting back into blogging.
This blog is an expression of things I love and my life. Being a mother, the journey of which has changed me forever. I have a very, very big weakness for handbags, I cannot tell you how many I own in fear that my husband may read this! I also adore lovely, lovely pretty things. Who doesn’t?
I can be opinionated and like to blog about popular culture and issues that are important to me. Some serious, some more light-hearted, from TV to feminism.
I am also a huge bookworm, and I’m an Editor and reviewer for www.bookchickcity.com. If you’re looking bookish reading fodder, please feel free to head over there ;-). However, watch this space for news on more book related content coming to Laura’s Lovely Blog very soon.
I live in Bracknell, Berkshire with my husband, two wonderful children and our crazy (40kg) Rhodesian Ridgeback Florence. You can occasionally see my fitness and food obsessed husband guesting with recipes, training tips and his views on fatherhood.
For over 12 years I worked in digital marketing, either for in-house as Marketing or Ecommerce Manager or agency side as a consultant advising retail brands on their digital strategy. I am lucky to have worked with some very big UK brands throughout my career. In December 2013 I decided to take a career break and focus on my young family (you can read more about that here). After a year out, as of February 2015 I started up my own business as an Independent Cambridge Weight Plan Consultant and started doing some freelance marketing and writing work. If you would like more information on my professional marketing career, please check out my LinkedIn page.
The Cambridge Diet has had a huge impact on my life and brought many people to my blog, if you would like to read more about that, take a look at my Cambridge Diet page or if you live local and fancy working with me, my official Cambridge Weight Plan page. I have been sincerely touched by the messages and emails I get from people who have been helped by my story.
