My Favourite Five Books

Today I would like to welcome to the blog Kat from Candyfloss and Dreams. Who is the third person to guest in my new guest series where different people share their five favourite books in a chosen genre. Kat has chosen her favourite five thrillers, I keep being tempted by The Girl on the Train and think I must try and so many people say how good it is.

1. Watchers by Dean Koontz

It’s a really gripping story that I just could not put down. It was recommended to me by my partner and I loved it. Full of suspense and interesting characters. The plot is such a rollercoaster.

2. Bird Box by Josh Malerman

I picked this one up in Waterstones and read the back. I needed to read it because it was so intriguing. Really interesting approach throughout the whole book but I can’t say why as I don’t want to give it away. A must read though, I finished it within hours of purchasing it.

3. Shocking Pink by Erica Spindler

A book I first read as a teenager that really made me love crime and thriller fiction. I love the way it jumps through the past and then to the present so that you can get the entire story of the book. I’ve re-read it again as an adult and it still kept me turning pages. Very thrilling story.

4. Kiss The Girls by James Patterson

Another book I read as a teenager that made Patterson one of my favourite authors and got me hooked on his story telling. This has a dear place because it was the first of his I read. Very gruesome but really thrilling too.

5. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

One I think a lot of people have read and heard of now because it’s a best seller but I loved this story. The characters were so interesting throughout and I had no idea what was going to happen until perhaps a few pages before it did and that is what really pulled me in. Fantastic story telling.
