REVIEW: Burn Me On – Personalised Chopping Boards

Burn Me On Personalised Chopping Boards

At Christmas sometimes the quest to find that perfect gift can be a tough one. What do you get the person who has everything? Or perhaps you have a foodie in your family and they seem to have every gadget you can possibly think of.

Let me introduce you to Burn Me On, a small business run by a Mum (with toddler assistance), who creates unique gifts and goodies that have motifs and personalisation that is literally burnt onto wood. I was sent a chopping board to review, but they also sell spoons, badges and tablet/iPad stands. There are some fun collections to choose from, or you could have your own personalised message added – from wedding or anniversary date to fun  messages.

When I looked through the site I was immediately taken with the pun themed chopping board – Please cut Caerphilly, Pleased to meat you and Graters gonna grate being amongst my favourites. I chose a cheese board with ‘To Brie or not to Brie That is the Question’ on – I’m an English grad, got to love a bit of Shakespeare.

The chopping board arrived beautifully wrapped in tissue and string, it’s a lovely and solid chopping board. The engraving or perhaps I should say burning? Looks great. I liked the quirky font, it went with the tongue-in-cheek slogan. I’m actually kind of intrigued how such detailing is burnt onto wood.

This is a lovely idea and would make a great Christmas present and actually I think it would make a really nice personalised wedding present too.

*Disclaimer: Burn Me On sent me this chopping board for the purpose of this review, but all opinions are my own.
