Week Nine

So I am back from holiday and it’s time to face the music. I think it’s always best to get back on the scales, face it and be done with it and move on. Two weeks of eating whatever I wanted including take-aways, ice cream, fudge and pasties. It was bound to be bad and depressingly it was. I am put on 10.5lbs 🙁 .

However, I made the decision not to diet and just enjoy my holidays as they only happen once a year and while I am frustrated by this gain, there is no point on dwelling on this frustration. I have set myself the target of losing this 10.5lbs in two weeks, which I know is achievable on this diet and then I will look to my next goal – two stone weight loss.

One of the things I have been thinking over while I have been away is how to break habits, I think this is probably a whole new blog post in itself. But it is so easy to fall back into bad ways, as soon as I started eating again for example I stopped drinking lots of water which I know is so good for me. But also I feel it is time to introduce an exercise regimen too. So after two weeks back on plan I am going to update you with how I plan to do this too.

I think the fabulous heatwave will help this week as you don’t really feel like eating when it’s hot do you? Other than ice cream – but I may make myself some ice lollies with the Cambridge Diet water flavourings.

  1. I don’t think that is too bad for a fortnight especially as we all eat extra stuff on holiday. I am sure you will get that off easily now you are back on the plan, and a bit of extra activity will help too, although I’m not quite sure how you will manage that with a toddler and a one year old – making any time to actually stop moving must be quite a challenge! I use a pedometer and am always astounded at how many miles I clock up when I am with my grandchildren (love it though!)
I am delighted to report a half pound loss this week – not much, I know, but I have been stuck at the same weight for three weeks and hope that now the weight has started to shift again.

    • Well done on your half a pound 🙂 it”s coming off slowly but surely. I am hoping it will be off in two weeks – I did eat a lot of bad stuff, but I enjoyed it too so c’est la vie xx

  2. Your doing really well Laura! I like the idea of rewarding yourself after losing two stone. Holiday’s make it really difficult…but it’s nice to have a break every now and again. Good luck for the next week. Angela x

  3. Good for you Laura for being so open with your weight, it’s quite something to expose all to the world that’s brave in its self. I don’t blame you for enjoying your holiday that are precious times. Good luck Laura you will do it.

    • Thank you 🙂 I am trying to be honest to show people that while there are slips you can still get to where you’re going or at least I hope that I will! x
